After three months of renovations and expansion, and two months of work by the artists to paint and customize the entire 6000+ square feet of shared gallery space and individual artists spaces, the new and improved Rail Walk Studios & Gallery was ready for the public to see at the Grand Reopening on Friday, March 14, 2008. A tasty selection of food and beverages was served, and the first 40 visitors received a certificate for a free gourmet coffee at Spenzanelli’s, courtesy of Rail Walk and Rowan Investment Co. Soft jazz was provided by JAlston & Company. Originally scheduled for March 7, 2008, the grand reopening was postponed to March 14th due to the tragic loss of two firefighters in the Salisbury Millworks fire the morning of March 7th . A tribute table was set up to honor the two fallen firefighters, Justin Monroe and Victor Isler, and donations were collected for the fund for the families. |
