· July 18, 2008—August 14, 2008, Abundant Living Portrait Exhibition
The portraits and photographs of the residents of the Abundant Living Adult Day Care Services organization that were created by various local artists will be on display.
Opening reception: Friday, July 18, 2008 5:00—7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
· June 6, 2008—July 8, 2008, Sharon Forthofer Solo Show Friday, June 6, 2008 6:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Sharon is a new artist at Rail Walk Studios & Galleries and this is her first solo show. Click here for photos.
· May 9, 2008, Downtown Salisbury’s Spring Night Out Rail Walk Studios & Gallery will be open. Friday, May 9 2008 5:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m.
Artist demonstrations and refreshments will be offered.
· April 18, 2008, Downtown Salisbury’s Earth Night Out Rail Walk Studios & Gallery will be open. Friday, April 18, 2008 5:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.
Discounts on artwork will be offered. If you’re already making plans for next year and want to know what date falls on what day, we will have free 2009 annual calendars available.
· March 14, 2008—Rail Walk Grand Re-opening Celebration Friday, March 14, 2008 5:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served
The grand reopening originally scheduled for the evening of March 7, 2008, to celebrate the expansion and renovation of Rail Walk and the addition of more artists, was postponed due to the tragic loss that morning of two Salisbury firefighters in the Salisbury Millworks fire. Donations for the families were accepted during the rescheduled event on March 14th and deposited in the fund at the Bank of North Carolina that had been set up to aid the families of the fallen firefighters.

Last year’s events:
· October 19—November 16, 2007—Annette Ragone Hall Solo Show The opening reception for Life Glow: the Light of Creation was held on Friday, October 19, 2007, from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. The show served as a fundraiser for the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina. Annette donated to the HPS 10% of the sales of her artwork sold during the show, and 15% of her sales during the opening reception. Direct donations to the society were also accepted. All funds raised were to help feed and care for the horses. The HPS is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation, so all donations were tax deductible. The opening reception for JAlston's...The Realization of A Dream exhibition was held on Saturday, September 8, 2007, from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm. Music was provided by 85-South.
